Add Note

ver. 2.0

 

Adding account notes is very easy in Kapta. A note can be created two (2) ways using:

  • “Create New” button
  • “Notes/Tasks” tab

 

Add Note from “Create New” button

Click the "Create New" button.

On the drop down menu, click "Note".

This will open the "New Note" page.

The “New Note” page is composed of the following:

1.  Note Title – a required field, provide a title to organize your notes

                Example: New Requirement for XYZ Company

2. Note Body – add your details here, the field can accommodate more than 5,000 characters including spaces

3. Account Name – a required field to associate a note to an account. If you are on the account page, the account name is pre-populated. If you're on the dashboard page, select the account the note belongs to.

4. Activity Type – select the “Activity Type” from the dropdown menu. The activity type is used for filtering the Notes. Below are the suggested content and frequency for each activity.

5. Contact Name – optional field, helpful to associate a note to specific Key Players and Contacts

6. Upload Note Document – optional field, for other documents associated to the Note

Once completed, click “Save”. Or “Cancel” to delete the note.

Your new “Note” can be seen on the “Notes/Tasks” tab of the account it is associated to.

 

 

Add Note from “Notes/Task” tab

Select the account from your Accounts List.

Click the “Notes/Task” tab.

On this tab you will see the “Add New Note” form and all other previously made Notes.

The “Add New Note” page is composed of the following:

  1. Note Title – a required field, provide a title to organize your notes

                       Example: New Requirement for XYZ Company

  1. Activity Type – select the “Activity Type” from the dropdown menu. The activity type is used for filtering the Notes. Below are the suggested content for each activity.
  2. Contact Name – optional field, helpful to associate a note to specific Key Players and Contacts
  3. Note Content – add your details here, the field can accommodate more than 5,000 characters including spaces
  4. Upload Note Document – optional field, for other documents associated to the Note
  5. Add – saves your note and adds to the list below
  6. Notes List – catalogs all previously saved/added notes

 

 Once completed, click “Add”. Or “Cancel” to delete the note.

Your new “Note” can be seen in the “Notes List” underneath.

 

 

Select Note “Activity Type”

Generally, the “Activity Type” pertains to customer/client interactions, and classified, as follows:

1. Note – general notations

         Contents examples:
                New Business Opportunity – Info from external sources such as media
               Contact Information – Info regarding the business contacts
               Business Impact – Info that has negative or possible risk for the business

2. Phone – pertains to one-on-one conversations, not including conference calls

3. Meeting – pertains to scheduled face-to-face or conference calls, may have multiple parties attending

4. Email – can be cut and paste from source email or sent to notes through Email integration (kapta@kapta.com)

5. Document - for uploaded documents
